I spent a lot of time focusing on whiskey in my last post, so I think it's time for something a little more fun: pizza. Pizza topped with a little "Game of Thrones" and a dash smack-talking about regional styles.
"A Song of Fire & Ice" author George R.R. Martin is originally from New Jersey, (North Jersey to be more accurate) so he has quite the affinity for New York-style pizza. He also appreciates the lesser known New Haven-style pizza, which I'm sure is to the delight of San Diego's BASIC and URBN Coal Fired Pizza. (Though, it's pretty apparent San Diego appreciates their pizza, too.) But he doesn't like Chicago-style. Not one bit. In fact, he compares it to Joffrey Lannister and Ramsay Bolton. If that doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth, then just think of this.
I won't put a player in this Game of Pizza. (Disclaimer: I did grow up in New Jersey and don't get me started on Joffrey.) Original article: George R.R. Martin Drops Pizza Knowledge On Fans, Hates Chicago Deep Dish
