Wheat & Water and the Bird Rock Community Council Present "Sunsets on the Boulevard"

Are you ready to start wearing shorts and flip flops as we are? It’s time to put those cold, dark, rainy Winter days behind us and get back to the warm and sunny.

Wheat & Water, along with the Bird Rock Community Council, invite you to the first-ever Sunsets on the Boulevard on April 7th from 5-8pm. Grab the kiddos, friends or significant other and head out for a relaxing stroll along Bird Rock’s main drag, La Jolla Boulevard.

Spring in San Diego is just the countdown to Summer. But, we don’t have to wait until May to enjoy the longer days and rising temps? That’s exactly what Doug, Wheat & Water’s COO, thought, too. So, he pitched this idea to the Bird Rock Council, then went door-to-door asking local businesses to stay open late and participate. (40 businesses!)

Stop in and shop. Grab a couple drinks and dine out. Get out and spend more time in your beachside community!

Wheat & Water Meets the Neighbors

A little over a month ago, I (Doug) had the pleasure of presenting additional details about Wheat & Water to the Bird Rock Community Council. (I never know what to expect when it comes to public speaking.) I think those attending could feel my excitement about getting Wheat & Water opened, but I'm even more excited after the meeting. It's very apparent the residents of Bird Rock have been waiting for a new local restaurant to open.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Jacqueline, president of the BRCC, and all those attending. We'll keep post on this blog with our progress.
